Covid-19 Update

August 31, 2020

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and while many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety! Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and this is one area where we are continually making improvements.  Besides our standard infection control procedures, we have made several other office changes to keep you safe. We understand that some of you may want to delay or reschedule your appointments and we are happy to do this for you. Please give us a call and we will find a time that is convenient. With our additional safety procedures in place and your cooperation we feel that we can provide great care in a safe environment.

 Some of our new procedures:

We complete a pre-screening questionnaire the day before all appointments. We ask our patients to wait in their car until the time of their appointment so that we limit the number of people in the office at any given time. We take temperatures as soon as patients arrive in the office and require all patients to wear masks while not in a treatment room. The clinical team wears two masks as well as a face shield to protect our patients. And, we have reconfigured the front desk to include plexiglass barriers and “stand stations” to show where patients should stand to follow social distancing requirements. In between appointments we are using hospital grade disinfectant to clean all surfaces in both our treatment rooms as well as in the front office, bathrooms and reception area, and these areas are being disinfected on the hour. Finally, Dr. Andy regularly reviews the latest updates on how to best manage patient safety as we learn more about the virus.

We look forward to continuing to provide you with great care in the safest way possible during these unique times!

Enhance Your Smile with a Cosmetic Dental Treatment

A blond woman in a white jacket smiles at the cameraMany people wish they could improve the look of their smile, and for good reason – many studies have shown that patients with straighter, whiter teeth are perceived as more attractive, more successful, more confident, and even younger. Sadly, age, certain foods and drinks, injuries, and even medication can cause your otherwise healthy smile to become lackluster. With the help of our dazzling cosmetic dentistry services at West Lake Dental, Dr. Andy Maples and his dedicated team can finally transform your look for the better. We also perform comprehensive smile makeovers that can combine any number of treatments to give you your very best smile.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

Achieving a brighter smile is a common goal for many patients, but one that isn't easily achieved on your own. We are happy to offer in-practice whitening as a fast and effective way for patients to attain a fresh, gorgeous look. We'll use high-grade bleaching gel and a special light to remove years of stain off your enamel, and best of all, the whole process only takes around an hour, allowing you to leave that same day with a smile that's whiter by several shades.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

In the past, cavities were treated with amalgam, mercury fillings, which had several downfalls: their placement actually weakened the overall structure of the tooth, and their noticeable silver appearance ruined the beautiful look of your natural smile. At West Lake Dental, we're happy to provide the most esthetic and  least invasive tooth-colored fillings available. Made from composite resin, these fillings can be precisely shaded to match your enamel and then directly bonded in a way that actually strengthens your tooth's natural structure. Better yet, they’re less sensitive to hot and cold temperatures, resulting in more comfort for you.

Porcelain Veneers

Everyone deserves to achieve their ideal smile, but when you have several flaws that need attention, pursuing cosmetic care can seem overwhelming. Wouldn't it be great if you could just give your look a complete do-over? Thankfully, porcelain veneers can do just that. Made from wafer-thin, high-quality dental porcelain, veneers are precisely designed to cover certain teeth or even your entire smile behind a new, polished appearance. We can even change the length, shape, or shade of teeth!

That's why Loveland cosmetic dentist, Dr. Maples is happy to offer crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays that are precisely crafted from high-quality ceramic and other tooth-colored restorations.
