The Benefits of Full Mouth Reconstruction

Uniquely Designed

A full mouth reconstruction is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. Rather, Dr. Maples assesses each patient's mouth and overall situation individually and custom-designs a unique plan that combines multiple restorative and cosmetic procedures. You can trust that the treatment plan designed for you serves your specific needs.

Quicker, More Effective Treatment

A full mouth reconstruction addresses multiple oral health concerns, such as missing teeth, decayed teeth, or periodontal disease, at the same time. While every patient's restorations and treatment timeline will be different, addressing multiple issues at once is always faster than addressing them one at a time and can also achieve more cohesive results.

Better Health

Broken, decayed, or missing teeth, as well as diseased gums, are bad for both your oral and overall health. Decay in one tooth can spread to surrounding teeth, infections in the mouth can spread to other parts of the body, and bites that don't function properly make it difficult to maintain a healthy diet. Reconstructing the mouth can prevent the development of serious health concerns and revitalize your quality of life.

What Is a Full Mouth Reconstruction?

A full mouth reconstruction is a personalized treatment plan intended for patients who have several oral health concerns affecting most or all of their teeth. Your plan may include procedures to replace missing teeth, remove cavities or other tooth decay, or restore the health of your gums. In some cases, full mouth reconstructions can also enhance the appearance of your smile. However, patients with mainly cosmetic issues may be better served with a smile makeover.

The West Lake Difference

At West Lake Dental in Loveland, CO, we pride ourselves on using the most advanced techniques and technologies during our full mouth reconstructions. Our patients deserve the most modern care available, and Dr. Maples is always updating his methods and continuing his education so that every procedure he includes in a treatment plan is state-of-the-art.

Sedation dentistry patientSedation Dentistry

Because dentistry makes many patients nervous, we provide sedation options, including nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation. Sedation dentistry can be employed during any treatment, with the level of sedation determined by the patient's anxiety level, medical history, and the complexity of the procedure. If you've been avoiding the dentist because of fear or anxiety, we can put you at ease.

Technology

Our dental technologies ensure that our full mouth reconstructions are conducted with precision and in a timely manner. When you come in for an initial consultation, Dr. Maples can help you visualize the results of your reconstruction by displaying a model of your mouth with articulators (a device used to precisely customize restorations), or by fitting you with a pre-operative wax-up. A wax-up is a model of your smile that can be temporarily attached to your teeth, so you can look in a mirror and actually see the effects.

Other technologies include cone beam scanners, digital x-rays, and equipment that allows us to fabricate dental crowns in only one visit.
